​The South Texas Nazarene School of Ministry offers the course of study required for ministerial candidates to be considered for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene. 

There are 24 courses - offered in-person at three locations and online via Zoom.

Confidence for Ministry

​The  adult learners will gain knowledge in biblical and theological CONTENT, build mature CHARACTER as servants of the church, engage in meaningful experience as faithful witnesses in their CONTEXTS, and lead toward COMPETENCE for ministry leadership in South Texas and beyond.

​Course Schedule

Each course usually lasts five weeks. All reading and assignments must be submitted to Google Classroom or by email prior to the class meeting.

Arrive to class at least 10 minutes early whether in person or by Zoom. Zoom links will be sent by one day prior to the class meeting.

Since there is a condensed schedule, plan to be present for the entire two hours of the class. There will be short break will be given halfway. 

Only one excused absence is allowed or the course will need to be repeated. Student must let instructor know prior to the scheduled class meeting.
